One could say that the stars were aligned for Webber from the very beginning. Although he did have a more challenging upbringing, it was those experiences that helped shape this humble beast into the man we’re bearing witness to today.

The first day that Webber walked into Throwback Boxing, STM’s Coach Ken put him into the ring with a professional boxer. Webber’s confidence was strong until his opponent’s hits started affecting him, and his lack of conditioning began to show. Regardless of either factor, Webber was able to last for four whole rounds for his very first time in the ring, which is impressive.

During Webber’s training, STM’S Coach Jim took his craft to another level. Webber had been training for a year and a half at this point when that same Pro boxer made his way back to Throwback Boxing’s gym. Not wanting this opportunity to pass him by, Webber wanted his revenge. The two got back into the ring, and Vern did what Vern does. That boxer was never seen back in that gym since. At that moment, he knew this was what he was meant to do.

Five years and over 16 amateur fights later, Webber went to Samson Team Management, bringing Coach Ken and Coach Jim along for the ride. Currently, in his professional boxing career, he is undefeated and has plans to remain that way. Toppling boxers who are bigger in size and weight with ease and now transitioning into the Cruiserweight Division, where he’d compete against boxers his size, is only some of what Webber has already accomplished in his short time as a professional boxer. Vernon “No Love” Webber has no fear when he steps into the ring because it’s at that moment when he is free to release and be who he is, a beast.
