Coach
Ken
WITH OVER 40 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
IT’S NO WONDER AARON BROUGHT HIM ON TO BE A PART OF THE TEAM
Ken has always been a fan of combat sports; he first started with Karate full combat, then when on to Kickboxing- it was this that led him to the world of Boxing, as he was always interested.
Fast forward, Quintero started training at Ken’s gym, and they became close as Ken saw Quintero’s potential. It was Quintero that joined Samson Team Management first, and Ken soon followed. Being a part of a team that focuses on what’s best for the fighter versus what’s better for the organization sets STM apart from most and what Ken prides himself on executing as a coach.
To be an effective coach, you must be humble enough to understand that you should never stop learning. Many coaches will train a fighter by encouraging them to adapt to the coach’s preferred boxing style. Instead, Ken pays close attention to detail amongst his fighters by adapting to a boxing style that will help each fighter be the most effective.
At the end of the day, watching his fighters succeed by helping them to accomplish their dreams and goals, is all the satisfaction that Ken needs to know that his efforts were worth it.
